Projects That Involve PCB Design Plans

The regular computer would probably not be sitting in front of their computer creating a printed circuit board. Printed circuit boards are usually reserved for those with a high level of technical knowledge and ability to create an electronic circuit board. However, for the tech geek in your family there may be a desire to try some printed circuit board project right in your own home. Here is a look at some of the smaller printed circuit board projects that anyone with a little knowledge of circuit boards could try.

Day/Night Light Control. This is a project that allows all lights in a vicinity to operate at lower power during the day and only turn on at night. There are multiple printed circuit board plans available online to show a person exactly how to program the circuit board so that the lights switch on at night and stay on low power during the day. All hardware that is required for this small project can either be created by hand if you have the knowledge or be purchased at the store in a packaged bunch. However, the plans are available online for free as an open source program which means if you know how to create the circuit board it would be very cost effective.

Gas Detector. There are many different types of gases that can be deadly if not caught in time. Whether it is butane, propane, methane, hydrogen or alcohol you will want to catch these gases as soon as they are released into the area. There is a printed circuit board program that will show you how to design a circuit board with a GH-312 sensor in it. The sensor will detect any type of gas that is in the area and alert the user when there is high levels of gas in the area. Many high level gas detection programs use a larger, more technical version of this type of printed circuit board in their products. However, a small at home device can be created with the right plans and technical knowledge.
