Welcome to HDLCon 2000!
Now that the Y2K rollover problems proved to be minimal, electronic systems are certain to become even more prevalent in all aspects of our lives. This increasing use of electronics will further increase the pressure on every designer to continue and increase his or her design productivity. Hardware Description Languages will continue to be an important element of design productivity, even as future improvements in entry, design expression and verification methods are invented.
However, today's design methodologies do not use the full capabilities of current HDLs. Use of these neglected features promise to provide productivity improvements without wholesale changes to tools and methodologies. Accordingly, we have assembled a program of papers, panels and tutorials that explore advanced uses of HDLs, while continuing to provide introductory tutorials for those new to HDLs.
Come join us 8-10 March 2000 at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, California, USA and explore "HDLs: Beyond RTL!"
